Im not sure if hes a nerd/geek or mommas boy





Hes 38, is a Computer Consultant, makes $200k a year. Lives at home with his Mom, sleeps on the floor in his room (he has no bed) has 2nd grade running trophy displayed. Star Wars sheets on the floor. Does not pay rent, has no expenses.


He only wears dress shirts, dress pants, has no casual clothes. Dress shoes. Has 20 pairs of the same dress pants that dont fit him hang down, 20 dress shirts of light blue. All from JC Penney Has no jeans, sneakers, casual clothes at all. He went to the Zoo once with dress pants and dress shoes, dress shirt. I couldnt believe it.


Has no girlfriend, no social life,not interested in dating, told me he considered a mail order bride.


All he talks about 24 hours a day is how much money he makes and the stock market and his retirement account.





I asked him, %26quot;hey dont you want your own place%26quot;? He yells and says %26quot;are you nuts, ill move when i marry%26quot;


I said but no girl will every date you, I get no answer

Is my cousin a nerd/geek or mommas boy?
When was the last time your cousin had a physical check-up? I think he may have something physical that is contributing to his weight gain.





His weight alone can make him socially backward. If he had an active social life when he was in his 20%26#039;s and weighed 145, I am sure he knows what he is missing. He is probably terribly shy, and wears dress clothes because he probably thinks he would look bad in anything else.





Encourage him to go to the doctor, to get on a weight loss program. He needs to get back into life. Help him.

Reply:It sounds like your cousin may have some mental issues. At the very least, he should have a complete physical and mental evaluation. He may be severely depressed. His mother should have set some guidelines for living with her and one should have been routine health check-ups.

Reply:Well, it%26#039;s possible he%26#039;s just eccentric. He%26#039;s probably very smart and sometimes people with high IQ%26#039;s can%26#039;t see outside of their area of interest so they don%26#039;t notice they dress funny, act funny, etc. But it also sounds like he might have social complexes, perhaps, I don%26#039;t want to tag someone with that because of course I don%26#039;t know.
