Can you reccomend a shoe?

I work for ten hours a day on my feet, stocking shelves and running a sales counter. I have been wearing New Balance 991s, but they loose their cushioning quality after a couple of months. Then my feet get sore. Can you recommend a shoe what would work for me?

Can you reccomend a shoe?
try a new insole, NOT GEL ones they are too squishy...

also if you can afford to, buy 2 pairs of 991's and rotate them.

remove insole at night to let shoe air out and dry inside..

buy 2 pair on sale if you can

they are good shoes, so i would stick with what fits and work with the insoles

Reply:Try a cushioned insert instead of relacing your shoes entirely. I found a sports insert made by Spenco that worked well for me. I also prefer Nike Air Max shoes for their cushioning ability.
Reply:I can and they are expensive, but they last forever, so in the long run they aren't expensive. Dansko Professional stapled clogs are heavenly. I have trouble with my feet and my doctor recommended them. I got a pair at a store for $110. Then I went on eBay and got another pair (brand new) for $68 including shipping, so you can get them for less than the stores sell them for. They come in European sizes and I've noticed that people who sell them on eBay aren't always correct when they tell you what size that is in the U.S. Go to the Dansko website and they'll have a chart that will tell you what size you need. The last question on their FAQ's link leads you to the size chart. I've been wearing mine on a daily basis for about 2 1/2 or 3 years now. Haven't worn out yet.

Reply:The birkenstock shoes for a lot of people seem to be the best. They fit or MOLD to your foot and they are a bit pricey but hey ... your health is worth it.. I wore them while pregnat last year. They help to align feet right to keep your spine in place. Read up on them on line... They are german ... also Doc MArtians are good to ... they were invented to help your spine and feet. I think that both shoes have doctors involved at the begining of their creation ... when your in the mall the next time try a pair on ... see what you think .. the birkenstocks you wont want to take off.
