How many other people are totally miffed?

Sick of people ripping on Smoke


Okay, here it goes. I am totally frustrated, miffed and pissed off at people who hate Tony Stewart. Other drivers do the same damn thing Tony does but Tony is labeled bad and an asshole and a jerk among other colorful anecdotes to describe his demeanor. I am ready to blow a gasket I swear.





So Tony has a temper, so does everybody else. He's opinionated. He's honest. He's a bit aggressive on the track and he gets sick of media sticking their damn microphones in his face when he gets out of his car. The man is claustrophobic, give him a break.





I want to see one of these buttheads in the media do what Tony does with the pressure on him he has. He's a man for crying out loud! He is not perfect.





If any man has ever had a heart it is Tony Stewart! Bad boy my ***. He donates money to all sorts of causes. He takes his time with each fan when he can. His heart is broken over the loss of others loved ones. He loans out his chopper and his plane to friends for funerals, emergencies and weddings. He gives and he gives but all people want to see is the side of Tony that embarasses even him at times.





Give the man a break! He's talented. He can drive anything with wheels on it and win. He's won so many damn championships in so many different kinds of cars it's insane. He deserves some respect for the things he does. So you're not a fan! Keep your mouth shut. Wear his shoes for a day and see if you can hold your head high at the end of the day.





I am just fed up. He is not gay. He is not an asshole nor is he the other versions of that word I hear so often. He wears his heart on his sleeve but I think he has finally realized that all you people want to do is stomp it for him. Shoot me if I am wrong but he is a man and he will make mistakes. He puts his pants on one leg at a time just like everbody else. He loves what he does.





The media needs to back off a bit and let Smoke breathe. The fans who don't like Tony need to take a better look at the man. I am ready to kick some serious butt. One more person approaches me to inform me that my jacket or my tshirt or my hat shows I am stupid because of Tony I am going to go absolutely nuts. Psycho ward here I come because I cannot handle people putting this man down anymore.





I am a Tony Stewart fan. I will always be a fan, even if he runs a reporter over with his stock car. I have great respect for him. He is my hero. If you don't like that, that is not my damn problem. Give me some respect and Tony some and keep your stinking mouth shut. I have stopped slamming Gordon and the Busch brothers out of respect. Why can't everybody else?





Oh that's right because it's easier to put someone else down than it is to look at your own faults as an individual. Get a life!

How many other people are totally miffed?
Those who think that it is easy to go out on the track, put up with some of the nonsense and still be perfect ought to try getting out there. racing is not just driving a car that your team maintains, but knowing what the car needs in set-up, how it is handling, etc. road rage is wrong, but on the track, when week after week some other drives pull the same garbage, sometimes a driver has to make a move and sometimes they have no place to go. I am not strictly a stewart fan, but I like him and you are right. just yesterday he was talking about the children's camp he supports.I am at the races every week and it just amazes me when I hear people who think the drivers have no brains and can't wait for the next crash. they are not true racefans. It takes a lot of nerve to get out there and a lot of knowledge to keep that big monster they are sitting in going and staying out of trouble. Everyone has their favorites, so they should keep their mouths shut when another person wears shirts, hats, etc., of their favorite driver. but, like anything else, you will have many opinions on one driver, they love or hate him. Being in racing and being there every week, I know of the many problems there can be, but the drivers love it, put up with it, that is why they drive. I know it is hard to hear the filth out of some people's mouths, try not to let it upset you. I know it is hard, you just have to ignore the ignorant people, they don't know what they are talking about.

Reply:Dear Tony is just the best guy ever. I adore him, and I really don't need to stress why I like him because I agree with all the reasons you like him. :) Tony is the kindest, sweetest guy out there, even though it doesn't always show. He is wonderful to his fans, and he races hard. And he's REAL. There's nothing hotter than that. Seriously. Plain and simple...I think smoke rules!
Reply:If he is all of that, why does he fly off the handle like he does? Tony can be all of those things that you describe, but the people are going to remember his last temper tantrum more than almost anything else. He has shown signs of improvement, but the man has an attitude problem on occasion that gets the best of him.

The irony is Stewart has the same problem as you do..."Lets be cautious before some one gets hurt", the same race he spins Kenseth out on purpose...he tells someone not to do something, then he does it (like you)!





If your courteous to other people they will be courteous in return, if not they aren't worth the time! Did you rip on these peoples drivers? I bet you did!
Reply:Please don't think (not even for a second) that the whole world is picking on Stewart. I think he needs to think a minute before he acts. As far as his temper goes, the media doesn't stick microphones in his face any more. If he says he doesn't want to talk, they leave him alone. I think that's how it should be.


It took him flattening a reporter to get that respect. You mentioned respect. You must first earn respect, not demand it. Tony Stewart has my respect, and I am certain that most of us here respect him as a driver, and competitor.


We do not have to be fans of his, or even like him as a person.


I am offended, and miffed at you. I realize that Tony has slipped out of the top 10, and that set you off.


Ryan Newman did that, not us. Telling us/them/they to shut up, or calling us names, and cursing us will not put him in the top 10.


Just as I am a Jimmie Johnson fan, and I had to endure him being called a cheater, that is the label I wore until Kevin Harvick's crew chief got suspended (again) for a rules violation.


Try being a Gordon fan. When was the last time people threw anything at Tony? It has happened twice to Jeff.


I despise Ryan Newman, but I do not condemn him, or damn his fans. If we were all like you, we would watch Tony drive around in circles by himself. Rivalry is what makes sport great, damning other fans trying to defend their hero's is exactly what you detest.


In creating such resentment, and outright hostlity towards other fans, you have become the example of what you hate the most about the rest of us. By definition, that would make you a hypocrite. In the future, you might try to look beyond the number 20 car, and see who else has a bad day. Kyle Petty gets run over all most every week, Robbie Gordon can't buy a break,


Bobbie Labonte got run over with 6 laps to go. (by my favorite driver) There are worse things than not being in the top 10. Before you blast the rest of us, think about a Michael Waltrip fan, or look at the Junior Nation last year. People were not on here calling us names, and cursing us. It is great having free speech/expression, but you have not grasped the toughest part of it. Anyone has the ability to stand on a soap box and spout off at the mouth, the hardest part is listening to what you don't want to hear.


Most of us have done that for you tonight. You may not agree with us, but that is fine. No one had disrespected you until wrote your novel. Just as any Nascar driver will tell you, respect is earned, not demanded.

Yea, so he gave a million bucks to the Victory Junction Gang. All of the drivers give millions to charity out of their own pockets and their sponsers. How much have you given to this cause?





It is his off the track attitude where he shows his true colors.

Reply:Smoke is the man. All the drivers have tempers, they just don't show them to the public. Smoke wants everyone to know that he is pissed and what he is pissed about. I respect the man for that, he stands up for what he believes in and will not stand for any less. If everyone was like that Nascar could get their sh** together, and stop letting cry babies run the show. Smoke is the type of guy, everyone should respect.

Reply:What people are you talking about?? This is NASCAR hun, we ALL love our drivers and we ALL back them up each week, and when there's conflict on the track, whether its giving a little love here or bumping there, it makes for good conversation and friendly debate after wards.


Honestly, you sound a little out of control, obsessive, defensive and even angry.
