Gift ideas for our first anniversary??

My boyfriend and I will have been together a year next month. We made reservations for our anniversary, but we've decided to buy each other gifts. Not anything really expensive, because his birthday and Christmas are also this month.

He's 25, and he's not really one for all of the mushy stuff. I've already bought him a nice pair of jeans and two t-shirts for his birthday, and I bought him a new pair of shoes, a few DVD's, and an aftershave/shaving lotion/body wash set, along with a stocking, for Christmas.

Now I'm stuck with what to get him for our anniversary? I'd like to give him something he'll really appreciate without costing me an arm and a leg. Any ideas??

Gift ideas for our first anniversary??
maybe a watch? or a new wallet? or if he doesnt have an mp3/zune/ipod try that!
Reply:o to those things in the mall where u take a picture and put it on somethiing like a mug blanket or whatever they have then get him some other small stuff.like a hat ...money holder with date u met? put it wrapped seperates in a bag looks like u got him alot bc its a whole bunch of small stuff
Reply:what about a ringg?
Reply:Get him a wedding band, a simple gold wedding band. If you want to splurge, contact Bulgari in New York City. Bulgari will have a perfect European wedding band made for him in Rome, Italy, at a reasonable price, under $1,000. You can do this in under 2 weeks. Then, propose to him on your anniversary. Or perhaps you are not that serious. My wife and I were married on the 1st anniversary of meeting, and yes she proposed to me.
Reply:i find the best gift to a person you love is something that takes time to prepare, that you prepare yourself, not that you buy.. does not have to be expansive.. I personally feel bad if my fiance offers me an expansive gift..

I offered my fiance our first Xmas A CD where I put all our pictures.. for her birthday a cake with all her baby picture that I managed to have from her sister... our 1st anniversary, I put all our picture with a nice music on movie maker program, she was amazed...... and of course I did offer some other regular gifts, but she is always more surprised from cards that I write myself, or that I shop for long time to find that have a significant meaning related to what I feel for her.. the worse is to run buy an expansive gift that is just to be expensive (unless the partner is materialistic).. (and I wrote expensive with an "e" and with an "a" and yahoo spelling did not fix one or the other... Which one is correct????
Reply:nice cologne
Reply:Aw how cute! That is so fun %26amp; exciting. Ah, new love! I think that you could get him anything and the night will still turn out great. A watch, an Xbox 360 (no man can resist), or maybe just something for yourself that he would enjoy (aka some fancy lingerie).

Have fun!
Reply:PS3, Big Screen T.V. HD T.V
Reply:For my first anniversary with my boyfriend (now my husband) I had saved several tokens from places we had been and things we had done over that first year. Then, I made it into a little book for him. For instance, we had a favorite Japanese restaurant we liked, so one page had their business card and a few sushi stickers or something like that. One page had cutouts from a brochure of a ski resort we went to. My favorite page was just many snowflake stickers and I wrote across the bottom of the page, "When we danced in the snow..." because during the first snowstorm we had that year he stopped the car in a deserted parking lot, without saying anything, and led me out to dance in the snow. Very romantic.
Reply:with the budget n dat he's nt mushy n u hv gotten him practical stuff too; i m stuck too,lol...
Reply:a necklace, ring , bracelet ect

find out wat sort of things he likes, shout him out for tea ur treat, massage
Reply:go to the jewelers.... find a nice gold key-chain and have his name engraved on it............

its cool because...... you put thought into it, and he'll always have his keys with him along with the nice, small key-chain you bought him with his name on it
Reply:Take a week off and go on vacation. I highly recommend this place in Cancun Mexico:

Reply:a nice Cologne or wallet
Reply:for our first anniversary, I made a book of the first day we met, and all the other memorable events. This is better than any gift you can buy because if it's your first year, you should not make it seem like getting a gift should be a part of the whole experience, but rather, give something that you can both cherish in the future during good and bad times.
Reply:do you know how to crosstitch or knit? i think these are always the best gifts. it has a personal touch, and what more could he ask for when you obviously dedicated your time and effort just so you can offer him a beautiful %26amp; personalized gift. don't settle for material gifts that he can buy himself. it's the thought and the meaning that counts.
Reply:Some good cologne, that way you can always smell it on him so it benefits you too ;) Also some sneakers or a nice work suit...maybe some jeans? Shirts? football tickets? lol depends what he's into.
Reply:One year, eh? I think I got a dog for my one year. I still have the dog, by the way.

This last anniversary, I got a card and a t-shirt with the superman S on it. Then she hugged me and told me I was her super man.

The dog cost her $400. The shirt and card cost her a total of $10. They both meant equally as much to me.

If you must buy him something, make it be one little thing that shows him one small way in which you think of him (I'm assuming the things you think of him are good). Then, when you give it, tell him why you got it for him in ten words or less. Something good and sweet that'll be easy to remember.

Then be prepared to forgive him in a few months when he can't remember any of it.
Reply:something really special and unique which you believe it would be unforgateable for a first anniversary.
Reply:a weekend away or at a nice hotel in your hometown/city, doesn't have to be pricey or anything. some hotels have good weekend specials. think it's a good idea seeing as you've already bought him plenty of material things. or give him a long massage or something. or a bj.
Reply:a pocket watch with a picture of the both of you on the inside and an inscription on the back, and write or copy a poem about the time you've been together
Reply:Give yourself some nice lingerie and let him enjoy it.
